Amadeus Primary Academies Trust confirms that the Secretary of State for Education has given approval for Castilion Primary School to close permanently on 31 August 2027, following a sustained decline in demand for primary school places across Bexley.

Our absolute priority is the wellbeing, education and support of every pupil. The school will remain open throughout the 2026/27 academic year, and we are fully committed to ensuring a carefully managed and supportive transition for all children and families.

A Listening Period is open until 11 December 2026, and we strongly encourage parents, carers and the wider school community to share their views on the support needed during this transition.
